YOUR LEADER - CATHERINE COURTLEY

Catherine is an experienced vocal leader who has been running musical groups and choirs around London and East Kent since 2016. She also hosts regular choral workshops and her choir arrangements have been performed by The Bristol Old Vic Theatre School and choirs up and down the country.

Catherine leads both our Margate and Canterbury choirs, and is also General Manager in the Some Voices team. As you'd expect, she is generally crazy about choirs and the joy that comes from uniting people through the power of singing!

I’m constantly blown away by the positive effect of singing in choirs. It builds confidence, creates instant communities, forges lifelong friendships, helps people express emotions, move their bodies and improve breathing. But most importantly of all it’s fun! A weekly boost of real-life away-from-screens positivity which we all need.
— Catherine, Canterbury & Margate Choir Leader
Some Voices is a special community full of wonderful people ready to share and support. Going to choir every week is joyful - it lights me up!
— Seretta, choir member
