Some Voices is a non-audition, contemporary choir that believes singing is for everyone! 

All voices are welcome - no auditions or experience needed. Join us to learn original arrangements of songs that you love, and be part of a community who love to make music together.

If you’re new to Some Voices, you’ll be able to try out your first rehearsal for free. Hooray!

YORK REHEARSAL DETAILS

WHERE: St Aelred's Community Centre
216 Fifth Avenue, Tang Hall, York YO31 0PN

WHEN: Mondays, 7:30-9:00pm.

ACCESSIBILITY: Fully accessible venue

PARKING: Venue car park available.

TERM DATES:  The year is split into 3 terms - Spring (January to April) / Summer (May to July) / Winter (September to December) - with 10 rehearsals each term, plus a half-term break in the middle. You can join at any point in the term if there are places available.

YOUR LEADER - HANNAH BLACKETT

Hannah Blackett

Hannah was born in Yorkshire and is a Music and Performance graduate of Goldsmiths College London. 

She has many years experience of singing professionally, vocal coaching in schools, private tuition and theatre. Hannah absolutely loves leading community choirs and having recently studied Estill vocal training, she has a wealth of knowledge to share on performance technique, vocal health, placement and breath management. 

She is beyond excited to be bringing a little Some Voices musical magic to York!
